I offer homeopathic treatment to people of all ages and in all stages of life including pregnancy.
First consultation:
This usually lasts 1 hour, often less in babies and young children.
Homeopaths understand that symptoms are the language of disease and that they might be resultant of the body’s natural and automatic efforts to heal itself. These are like clues which guide a homeopath when prescribing a homeopathic remedy.
In homeopathy, more of these clues are used than in orthodox medicine, so the patient may be asked questions about all sorts of apparently minor deviations from health and about character and personality traits (except in acute conditions), in order to arrive at a correct picture of the patient and assess his state of health. Questions about your past medical history, family history of illnesses, diet, and general lifestyle contribute to assessing your state of health and forming the treatment plan.
All information provided would be treated in strictest confidence.
Follow-ups:
It is very important that your reaction to the prescription is monitored and your progress viewed regularly, the aim being fastest return to good health hence I strongly recommend to keep follow up appointments at the prescribed intervals. Depending on your health this follow up can be made at an interval of 2-4 weeks and the outcome of subsequent follow ups would help me recommend your future treatment
As with all treatments, some level of commitment to the course of treatment is required.
In medicine patients are termed Patients because “they are required to be patient with their complaints”
What will the treatment be like?
Treatment would be in the form of homeopathic medicine carefully selected after complete overview of your case. It is usually in form of pills or powders, which should be allowed to dissolve in your mouth or you may be given a liquid remedy with instructions.
Changes in diet and lifestyle might be suggested especially if it seems that this is contributing to your illness.
What happens once treatment starts?
Some patients experience a period of exceptional well being and optimism soon. Sometimes your symptoms can appear to get worse for short time. This is a good sign that the remedy is taking effect. Old symptoms may reappear usually for a short period. Sometimes a cold, rash or some form of discharge may appear as a ‘spring cleaning’ effect. Those symptoms will pass and must not be treated, as they are very important part of the healing process.
How long does the treatment take?
It is not always realistic for a homeopath to assess this until it can be seen how you respond to the remedies prescribed over some time. However this also depends very much on what sort of illness you have as well as other individual characteristics of your case. An acute condition might improve soon, while a slowly developing complaint or one that has been experienced for some years might take long although there might be a response or improvement quite soon. Homeopathy cures from inside, and often outer symptoms such as skin complaints are last to clear. Be patient! In the long term it is much better for you to be cured of both the symptoms and cause of your illness, rather than merely relieving or suppressing the symptoms. Remember that every case is different and no two patients are alike.
